xBUILD 5000

High-efficiency automation for cost-effective mass production

Scaling production with
precision, speed, and flexibility

From large critical to high-volume parts, the next-generation xBUILD 5000 delivers industry-leading performances. Designed for industrial serial production and large part builds, this highly productive 3D printing system focuses on reducing the cost per part and offers flexible configurations to match your workflow and production volume.

Key strengths

Maximum productivity

Enable multijob processing by automatically starting a new build job while moving the completed job aside. As a result, depowdering can take place in parallel, while double-side recoating reduces inactive time by up to 50%, making the system ideal for serial production runs.

Unmatched quality

Ensure stable laser performance with Automatic Multilaser Alignment (AMA), which checks alignment every two layers with 40 μm accuracy. Combined with scanfield calibration, laser power and focus checks, it delivers a reliable, repeatable process, especially for multilaser parts.

Safe & inert powder handling

Maintain a continuous powder supply by sieving excess powder in parallel with the build process. Additionally, an optional open-loop unit allows collection of excess powder or connection to a third-party sieving station for recycling across machines.

Fast, continuous production

Support continuous production by automatically moving the finished build module aside while loading a new empty module in parallel. Restart the next job fully automatically, reducing downtime to only 15 minutes.

Stable operation and exceptional precision

Deliver high-power, precise 3D printing with four 1 kW fiber lasers and a spot size of 80–200 µm for optimal output and maximum productivity. Preheat the build plate up to 200 °C and, optionally, use an active cooling system to prevent overheating and ensure stable process conditions, especially with demanding alloys.

Full control and real-time monitoring

Assure efficient 3D printing with xCREATE, a comprehensive software platform for managing the digital additive manufacturing workflow. Adjust laser splitting via the Multilaser Assistant and monitor, analyze, and control the process and machine status remotely.
